Tuesday Volunteers

Often a volunteer is the only familiar face they may see during the day who welcomes them with a smile and friendly conversation. We are non-judgmental of various lifestyles, some by choice and many by circumstance and put aside all preconceptions. The volunteers make every effort to make all guests feel welcome, equal and accepted as they are. The social aspect of our commitment is as important as the physical part. It is our goal to continue to provide one of life’s very basic needs to those in our community.

No one should go hungry in our society and Our Daily Bread recognizes that. We provide a nutritious meal in a hospitable environment for those who otherwise may not eat. Many guests are being given what will be their only meal of the day. Our Daily Bread is “no questions asked” and guests are not judged or questioned for their need to participate in our program. They are treated fairly and with respect as we would all like to be treated. Our Daily Bread staff and volunteers make a very direct impact on the quality of life of many in our communities.

If you would like to join our family of volunteers, please contact us via mail (P.O. Box 149, Taunton, MA 02780-0149) or email ourdailybread@tauntonsoupkitchen.org. Thank you!
